Once upon a time… there was a farm, an aloe plant, and a dreamer in a cloth hat—”our Majorero pup”—with many ideas in his head.
This is how the story of Agualoe SL begins, back in 2014, when Daniel Acosta, our founder and manager (and also head gardener, official cream tester, and passionate aloe advocate), decided to turn his experience in aloe vera cultivation into a life adventure.
First, he lovingly restored a 17th-century house—because if there’s one thing we love, it’s mixing roots with the future—and alongside it, he recovered traditional farmland. The result? A space that breathes history, tradition, and lots of aloe.
From Agua de Bueyes, in the heart of Fuerteventura, our organic and artisanal aloe vera production center was born, with products made from Majorero ingredients and a generous dose of love.
Because yes, we believe that every step counts, and that the world can change… starting with an aloe leaf.
Natural, local, and made with care
At Vidaloe Fuerteventura, we create 100% organic and genuinely artisanal products.
From cosmetics to food, aloe is our star, but always accompanied by good friends: plant-based, local, sustainable ingredients with no unwanted chemicals. There are no artificial fragrances here, but there are essential oils that smell like pure nature. Oh! And everything at room temperature, with solar and wind energy… because the sun and wind are our best allies.
You know what else? No added water or pasteurization! This way, the aloe retains all its superpowers. Because at Vidaloe, more than creams, we make bottled green magic.
……We got into Spirulina!
In 2018 we ventured into the unknown… well, not so unknown… Spirulina also grows happily in Fuerteventura (who wouldn’t be happy here). So we decided to cultivate it with the same love as aloe. That’s how Vidalgae was born, our pioneering brand in Canarian Organic Spirulina. And yes, we’re the first to cultivate it this way in all of Spain!… and also, the only ones in the Canary Islands.
A superfood with a super origin: Fuerteventura.
Chocolate, Gofio… and more surprises!
In 2022, since we can’t sit still, we created another delight: H2O Chocolates, the chocolate from Agua de Bueyes.
Haven’t tried it yet? Then you’re missing out on a bar with history and heart. Bean-to-bar cacao, brought from Ecuador and mixed with totally Majorero ingredients like Spirulina, goat milk, salt from Las Salinas del Carmen, Canarian pepper, and even aloe vera!
And as if that weren’t enough, we also created Garabato, the Carob Gofio, harvested from the trees we planted ourselves.
So yes, we plant and then grind…. Literally.
Reforesting with care
It’s not all about creams and chocolates. Here we also roll up our sleeves for the land.
Our reforestation project is repopulating the slopes of Fuerteventura with native species like junipers, fayas, tamarisks, mastics, and carob trees. Because we believe the future is built leaf by leaf and root by root.
And now, what’s next?
We’re already planting Moringa, that plant of the future that also wants to be Majorero. And we keep creating, caring, and dreaming. Because here at Vidaloe, we don’t just cultivate aloe, spirulina, or carobs…. We cultivate hope
