Agualoe SL – With love, from Fuerteventura
Once upon a time… there was a farm, an aloe plant, and a dreamer with a felt hat—a “cachorro majorero”—and many ideas in his head. This is how the story of Agualoe SL began, back in 2014, when Daniel Acosta, our founder and manager (and also head gardener, official cream tester, and passionate aloe advocate), decided to turn his experience in aloe vera cultivation into a life adventure.
First, he lovingly restored a 17th-century house—because if there is one thing we love, it is mixing roots with the future—and alongside it, he reclaimed traditional farmland. The result? A space that breathes history, tradition, and plenty of aloe. From Agua de Bueyes, in the heart of Fuerteventura, our organic and artisanal aloe vera production center was born, with products made from local “majorero” ingredients and a large dose of love.
Because yes, we believe that every step counts, and that the world can change… starting with an aloe leaf.
Natural, local, and made with care
At Vidaloe Fuerteventura, we create 100% organic and honestly artisanal products. From cosmetics to food, aloe is our protagonist, but always accompanied by good friends: plant-based, local, sustainable ingredients without unwanted chemicals. There are no artificial perfumes here, but there are essential oils that smell like pure nature. Oh, and everything is kept at room temperature, using solar and wind energy… because the sun and the wind are our best allies.
Do you know what else? No added water or pasteurization! This way, the aloe maintains all its superpowers. Because at Vidaloe, more than just creams, we make bottled green magic.
We ventured into Spirulina!
In 2018, we launched into the unknown… well, not so unknown: Spirulina also grows happily in Fuerteventura (who wouldn’t be happy here?). So we decided to cultivate it with the same love as our aloe. Thus Vidalgae was born, our pioneering brand of organic Canarian Spirulina . And yes, we are the first to cultivate it this way in all of Spain.
A superfood with a super origin: Fuerteventura.
Chocolate, gofio… and more surprises!
In 2022, since we don’t know how to sit still, we invented another delight: H2O Chocolates, the chocolate from Agua de Bueyes. Haven’t you tried it yet? Well, you’re missing out on a bar with history and heart. Bean-to-bar cocoa, brought from Ecuador, mixed with local “majorero” ingredients like spirulina, goat’s milk, salt from the salt flats, Canarian peppers, and even aloe vera!
And as if that weren’t enough, we also created Garabato, the carob gofio, made from the trees that we planted ourselves. Basically, we sowed and then we ground. Literally.
Reforesting with care
It’s not all about creams and chocolates. Here, we also roll up our sleeves for the land. Our reforestation project is repopulating the slopes of Fuerteventura with native species such as junipers, fayas, tamarisks, mastic trees, and carob trees. Because we believe that the future is built leaf by leaf and root by root.
The soul of the farm
Meet Daniel Acosta, our spiritual
guide, head gardener, and rural philosopher. With phrases such as:
“Let us preserve our history, revitalize our communities, and
build a lasting legacy”,
he reminds us every day why we do what we do.
Different, but united
At Vidaloe, we are a diverse team, but with a single mission: to care for the land, the people, and our traditions. And to do it well. Because yes, it is possible to have one foot in history and the other in the future.
Our process goes from the farm to your hands, without detours or intermediaries. We do everything here: cultivating, harvesting, processing, packaging… and even labeling with care! Real zero-kilometer production with a smile included.
Coming to see us?
No appointment necessary. Stop by Monday to Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and “interrupt us” while we work. We will show you how everything is made and tell you grandma’s secrets (the organic ones, of course).
We will show you how tradition and innovation go hand in hand so that you can discover that with love, everything grows. And if you don’t believe it… come and see for yourself.
And now, what’s next?
We are already planting Moringa, that plant of the future that also wants to be “majorera”. And we continue creating, caring, and dreaming. Because here, at Vidaloe, we don’t just grow aloe, spirulina, or gofio.
We cultivate hope.
Naturally!
